Covid-19 Update noon Friday 12 March 2021 – Auckland moves to Covid-19 Level 1
Auckland has joined the rest of the country in alert level 1.
Covid-19 Update 4pm Friday 5 March 2021 – Auckland moves to Covid-19 Level 2, New Zealand Level 1
Cabinet agreed today that Auckland would move back to Covid-19 Level 2 and New Zealand to Level 1 from 6am on Sunday 7 March 2021.

Covid-19 Update 9pm Saturday 27 February 2021 – Auckland moves to Covid-19 Level 3, New Zealand Level 2
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 at 6am Sunday 28 February for seven days.
This means all Hearing Therapy appointments in Auckland have been postponed.
The rest of the country moves to Level 2.
Life Unlimited will make contact if your appointment is affected. Other Hearing Therapy services will operate as normal following strict hygiene, contact tracing and screening protocols.
Our Mobility Centre stores in Hamilton, Tauranga, Hastings and Lower Hutt will remain open and will follow strict hygiene, contact tracing and screening protocols.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced Auckland will move out of Alert Level 2 and into Level 1 at 11.59pm today.
Our Life Unlimited Hearing Therapy services across the country will now operate as normal following strick hygiene, contract tracing and screening protocols.
Covid-19 Update 4.45pm Wednesday 17 February 2021 – Auckland moves down to Covid-19 Level 2, New Zealand Level 1
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced Auckland will move out of Alert Level 3 and into Level 2 at 11.59pm today.
The rest of New Zealand moves back to Level 1.
Our Life Unlimited Hearing Therapy services will now operate as normal following strick hygiene, contract tracing and screening protocols.
Covid-19 Update 7.30pm Sunday 14 February 2021 – Auckland moves to Covid-19 Level 3, New Zealand Level 2
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm for three days.
This means all Hearing Therapy appointments in Auckland for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed.
The rest of the country moves to Level 2.
Life Unlimited will make contact if your appointment is affected. Other Hearing Therapy services will operate as normal following strict hygiene, contact tracing and screening protocols.

COVID-19 Update Wednesday 7 October
New Zealand is now at Alert Level 1.
All Life Unlimited and Mobility Centre premises have the NZ Covid Tracer poster or you can manually record your details when you visit.
COVID-19 Update Monday 21 September
New Zealand, with the exception of Auckland, will return to Covid-19 Level 1 at 11.59pm today.
Our Life Unlimited/Mobility Centre premises will continue to provide Ministry of Health tracking through the NZ Covid Tracer app and maintain good hygiene practices.
Auckland will stay at Covid-19 Level 2, with eased restrictions on gatherings, at 11.59pm on Wednesday 23 September.
This means people in Auckland will be able to attend social gatherings, funerals and tangihanga in groups of up to 100 people.
You legally must wear a face covering when travelling into, from or through Auckland on public transport or aircraft.

COVID-19 Update Monday 31 August
Auckland is at Alert Level 2 with extra restrictions on social gatherings, funerals and tangihanga. That means our hearing therapists are able to see clients under Level 2 conditions.
COVID-19 Update – Friday 14 August
Auckland is in Alert Level 3 until 11.59pm on August 26. That means all Life Unlimited Hearing Therapy clinics in Auckland are postponed. If you are in Auckland and need help or advice about your hearing, please contact us
The rest of New Zealand remains on Alert Level 2.
Community Services Update
- We will continue to run our Multi Sensory Experience room with hygiene guidelines in place
- Nga Mara Atea will be open – adhering to the social distances guidelines
- Life Friends at Fraser High will go ahead with social distancing
- Waiata is cancelled at Kirikiriroa Marae- updates will be posted on Facebook when this will restart.

Full time clinics and Equipment and Modification Services have resumed and we are pleased that due to the success of our virtual appointments during lockdown we have now added this as an additional option for your convenience. (Please note not all hearing services can be provided through virtual appointments so just ask one of our team with what you need and they will help guide you in the right direction), and of course we will continue to offer home visits for those not ready or unable to leave their home.
We are here to help you make the right choices, we will guide you through the first steps of managing your hearing loss and support you to develop a plan for the future. Our team are qualified hearing professionals, we are the only organisation in New Zealand that offers Hearing Therapy and we are just a phone call away. We want to reassure you that we are following all recommended health protocols and will be providing safe environments for all our clients. We will work with you in a way that meets your individual circumstances – whatever they may be.
We will have processes in place to protect you and our team and have the following guidelines for you to follow:
- Screening of patients for COVID-19 will take place on the phone, and again upon arrival to the clinic. This will be required also of any support person you bring with you
- If you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of sickness including the common cold and flu you will need to reschedule your appointment
- If you do cough or sneeze please use tissue or your elbow and throw away the tissue immediately
- We will provide the Ministry of Health’s QR code at the entrance so you can keep a “digital diary”.
- You will need to wash / sanitise your hands on entry & exiting the building / clinic
- Our team will have gloves and masks available for your safety and ours if they are needed
- Please only turn up to your appointment five minutes early
- We will be seeing minimum clients to allow for hygiene and cleaning of our clinic rooms in between.
